Frozen snow by Brooke

I woke up and mum said "Look outside".  I looked out the window, wow! snow, cool!   I put on the TV but the power was cut.  I said "come on mum we have to go to school".  We drove so slow, finally were were there. Wow! it was white. I made heaps of snowmen.

Frozen by Mikayla

It was a cold, frosty morning in Te Anau and everyone at school was either throwing snowballs, playing in the snow covered sand pit or building fat snowmen.  Me, Tallulah, Jordan and Sophie called our snowman Frosty.

Frozen snow by Caitlin

I came to school with dad. I threw a big snowball at him. Dad threw an even bigger snowball at me.  I threw one back at him.  He turned around. I laughed at him.  "You are so naughty" said Dad. "No I'm not you threw a snowball at me as well!"  I went into the cloak bay to hang my bag up on my hanger. I went outside with my little brother and dad.  Angela, Jordan and Sophie cmd out. They saw me. They came and played snowballs. Briiing the bell rang.

Frozen Snow by Angela

This morning when I woke up I got change sand then I looked out the window and I gasped. I said to dad that it had snowed. I chucked some snowballs at dad, he chucked some back.

Surprise snow by Bailey

Mum came into my room and said "What is this?" I thought I was in trouble but I wasn't. She was just covered in snow.  I looked outside and it was really snowing. All I could see was sparkling snow. I and breakfast. I took some photos of the garden.  Then I went to school and we had a power cut. At morning tea I helped Nick and Mitchell make a giant snow ball. Another snowball was  a metre high but it got smashed to pieces!

Snow fun by Jordan

"It's snowing" grandma said to me. The snow looked a little bit like fluffy white dogs. When I was ready for school I ran outside to the car. When I got to school I saw Caitlin, her little brother and her dad.  Then me, Caitlin, Angela, Liam and James started throwing snowballs at Caitlin's dad. Then Caitlin's dad started throwing snowballs at us.  But he didn't get me.

The Snowman by Tane

In the morning me and my friend made a snowman together. I got freezing hands and I said "Finally, I'm finished. Let's make another one!" We started to make another snowman.

Lost in the snow by Sophie

I woke up and looked out the window and it was snowing.  When I got to school the snow looked like shimmering matariki stars. After a couple of hours it is just wet, soggy puddles and piles of snow.  I wonder what it will look like at lunch.

Frozen by Tom

"It's snowing" yelled Callum and Zack.  "Coming" I moaned. I was still in ed and very sleepy. Nana rang up to say kindy was closed, but not school. We all went outside to make a spectacular snowman. Zack made the head, Callum made the small part of the body and I made the big part. We stabbed a wooden gun and a stick for arms, milk bottle tops for eyes, a carrot for it's nose, a bucket for a hat and a bendy stick for a smiley face. "Time to go to school" mum ordered.

Story tellers visiting

We were very lucky to have two fabulous story tellers;  Shonaleigh and Victoria come along and share some stories with us.  It was great fun.

You can make a happy cake

Today the EE's read You can make a happy cake. The ingredients we needed were: 100grams of butter, two eggs, cocoa, baking powder, flour, sugar and vanilla. We mixed the ingredients together and then cooked it in the microwave for 5 minutes.  Then we took it out and put the pieces of the happy face on. Then we sprinkled icing sugar on it and took the pieces off. We had a happy face.

"It was yummy and terrific and also very funny" said Liam N.
"It was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted" Jack Muir
"It was the best thing I've ever tasted" by Sophie
"Yum" said Tane

Thanks Mary for helping us make the
