M and M maths: Making fractions

 

Room 5 and 6 has been doing some mms  maths.We did a sheet which  includes eating the mms and making fractions from the colours.

Our celebration

Te Anau school had roast.  It was meant to be a hangi but it was cancelled.   The food was cooked at The Distinction and eaten at the Holiday park.

The wet day by Toby,Dylan and Jordan

The mud is wet, the clouds are grey. "First place to go" said Dylan, "is the hang".Then Toby exclaimed "that he wanted to go play in the mud". Next place is to the trees, in the shady area. Dylan was the person who climbed and wanted to do it. Toby  climbed a tree, that was pretty extreme.

Snow fun by Jordan

"It's snowing" grandma said to me. The snow looked a little bit like fluffy white dogs. When I was ready for school I ran outside to the car. When I got to school I saw Caitlin, her little brother and her dad.  Then me, Caitlin, Angela, Liam and James started throwing snowballs at Caitlin's dad. Then Caitlin's dad started throwing snowballs at us.  But he didn't get me.

The Butterfly is coming out...

Room 5 has a butterfly that is coming out of it's chrysalis.  "Jordan" said Alice. "Look there is a butterfly!".  "Cool, there is another chrysalis" I said to Alice.  The one that is hatched is drying out it's wings.  Later that afternoon the other butterfly came out.  By Jordan
