You can make a happy cake
Today the EE's read You can make a happy cake. The ingredients we needed were: 100grams of butter, two eggs, cocoa, baking powder, flour, sugar and vanilla. We mixed the ingredients together and then cooked it in the microwave for 5 minutes. Then we took it out and put the pieces of the happy face on. Then we sprinkled icing sugar on it and took the pieces off. We had a happy face.

Flying away!
This morning when I got to school I peered at our class caterpillars. They were both in black see-through cocoons. When I got back in from morning tea I went to look at the cocoons, but this time only one cocoon was there. The other one was a butterfly, as orange as fire. At lunch Mrs Hardie took the caterpillar outside. Halfway through lunch... whoosh! The butterfly flapped it's wings and flew off!

Our chrysalis
Our chrysalis was as still as can be. When the butterfly came out I was so excited. It was so graceful I almost cried. When it had to go I was so sad. We still have one green chrysalis. The green chrysalis has shimmering sparkles on them. At first the butterfly will look like it's wings are wet. Half way through lunch the butterfly fluttered away. By Sophie
